I have been creating and managing major oral projects for over thirty years, including:
History of Australian Fathering (with historians from Monash University, the University of Melbourne and Essex University, Australian Research Council-funded, 2019-24)
Social Histories of Holden in Australia (with Adelaide and Monash universities, National Library of Australia, GM Holden and National Motor Museum, ARC-funded, 2018-2023)
Australian Generations Oral History Project (with Monash and La Trobe universities, ABC Radio National, National Library of Australia, ARC-funded, 2010-15)
Ouse Valley Oral History Project (with the University of Sussex and the South Downs Conservation Board, Leverhulme funding, 2006-08)
Moving Stories: British-Australian Migration Oral History Project (with the University of Sussex and LaTrobe University, AHRB-funded,1998-2011)
Anzac Memories (University of Sussex, Australian War Memorial and Commonwealth Scholarship funding, 1983-94).
I have also worked as an oral history interviewer on a number of projects, including the Melbourne Fire Brigade History Project (1985), the Australian Parliament Bicentenary Project (1983-85).
